Im thinking about heading the Traktor route… Seein those Rafik videos with him freaking the effects and bashing buttons on the midi pads then switching over to cut it up on the tables… ya I wanna do that lol. I actually did that with Torq on my last Skratchpad showcase but I think I could get more in depth with it in Traktor (they get up to *8 CUE POINTS!!).
If Serato had effects and more than 5 cue points I would consider that route instead but it still looks like its staying in the basic mixing realm. The Ableton ‘Bridge’ seems cool but I don’t really want to run 2 programs at once and I SUCK at ableton still haha. There probly is some cool stuff to do with it but I think I just need to learn it more. With Traktor its all in one place, I don’t need to run 2 programs, and coming from Torq I hear its pretty similar just more stable/better sound quality/more effects/overall beast of a program.
Not hating on Serato, I’ll still use it when playing out @ clubs w/ others+whatnot. Its a dependable program and does its job well, but I want to have lil more creative freedom in my sets.
The SIXTY-EIGHT mixer looks enticing tho, someone want to give me $2,599.99?
I will accept a sponsorship from either Rane or Native Instruments on either products.. :)

*Honestly I wish I could have 16 cue points per track, on either program
