Noted as being the “Bay Area’s best-kept secret”, North Bay native PriMO! (Primoktz) has been living the double life of an underground scratch DJ and premier club party rocker playing everywhere from indie hipster bars, hip hop shows, radio stations, to some of the Bay’s top clubbing venues.

Starting at the young age of 13, PriMO! began his venture in the DJ world on borrowed CDJ equipment doing mobile parties in houses, garages, dances, etc… At 15 he finally saved enough money and bought his first pair of turntables and by 18 began making his mark in the DJ battle scene from the Bay all the way to Las Vegas. He’s taken home titles such as Sam Ash DJ Battle Champ 2006 (Las Vegas), Pepsi QQuest Team Co-Champ 2006 (SF), Table Manners Champion 2008 (SF), and most recently titled as the 2011 Valedictorian at DJ Qbert’s Skratch University (QSU). With various competition titles under his belt and musical versatility, PriMO! puts on a show with a blend of style and technique no matter where he plays.

He’s played alongside some of the worlds best DJ’s including DJ Qbert (Invisibl Skratch Piklz), DJ Rafik (2010 DMC World Champ), DJ Vice (Skam Artist/Lavo Las Vegas), DJ Revolution (World Famous Wake Up Show) and many more… He’s influenced by both Turntablist/Battle legends and great Party Rockers as he aims to become a super-human cross between both.

“I like to do everything: mix, scratch, do clubs, hip hop parties, indie stuff… I get bored of doing the same thing too long… I like to switch it and stay fresh.”

Currently PriMO! holds residencies at Christy’s on the Square (www.christysonthesquare.com) playing every weekend in downtown Santa Rosa, CA as well as being a part of the Skratchpad SF collective every 1st Wednesday at The Rockit Room in San Francisco.
